When I use this spam control tool, do I need another email processing program such as Outlook Express?

Yes, you still need them. This utility does not replace those email programs. On the contrary, it will cooperate with those software packages to let you process your emails more quickly and safely.

Besides spam, can your spam control tool kill those email viruses such as "Netsky", "Swen", "Sobig", "Sobig.F", "WantJob", "Nimda", "Bigboss"?

Sure it can, and very fast. There is no need to retrieve large attachments of those email viruses. When confirmed that the email has a virus, this utility will kill it quickly.

When checking the mail in my mailbox, why does it always show the errors "Log on failed, please check user name and password."?

If you use Outlook Express as your email program, then when starting the spam control tool at the first time, the email account information in Outlook Express will be imported automatically. However the information imported excludes the passwords of POP3 accounts and you must enter these passwords by yourself. If you don't enter them, then the above errors will occur when checking mails.

When forwarding messages, reporting spam or sending complaints, why does it always fail? How do I resolve this?

If you need forward messages, report spam or send complaints, we always use SMTP servers of email accounts to send mails. Please check whether the settings of the SMTP servers are right or not. Or you can send mails through Mail-Express. In this way you don't need any SMTP server. You can set whether to use Mail-Express to send mails in the property page "Sending" in "Options".

When killing mails by hand, can I select and kill several mails at the same time?

Yes. You can press Ctrl while clicking a certain message, and in this way you can select several messages. In this case, if you need to cancel selecting a certain message, you can also press Ctrl while clicking it to cancel selecting. After selecting a certain one, you can press Shift while clicking another message to select all messages between these two at the same time.

Absolutely it can. Additionally, it can kill spam, it is more powerful and convenient than a normal email checker!

Does this utility support Hotmail?

Current version does not, it only support POP3. Most Internet email systems use POP3 accounts.

You will need a Pentium 133 PC or higher, 32 MB RAM or more. The operating system should be Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, or Windows XP.

It only needs about 10 MB.

How do I back up my email data?

You only need back up all files in the Data directory (include subdirectory) in the install path of this spam control tool. If you install this utility in C:\Program Files\SpamGunner, you only need back up the whole directory C:\Program Files\SpamGunner\Data.
